«Aquarius» – generates deionized water of high purity in laboratory environment

Aquarius

«Aquarius” is intended for generating deionized water of high purity in laboratory environment. Chemical analyses are significantly more accurate when deionized water of high purity is used.

Output water resistivity is up to 14 MOhm (for comparison: distilled water resistivity is 0.15-0.2 , bidistilled water resistivity is 0.6-0.8 MOhm, resistivity of theoretically “absolutely pure water” is 18 MOhm.

Its purpose

“Aquarius” generates deionized water of high purity, which is used to fill electric hydrogen generators, make chromatographic samples and solutions in laboratory environment.

* The above data is characteristic of water, which have been treated by Aquarius only once. If water is treated by Aquarius more than once, its quality (characteristics) will improve significantly.

Its structure and how it works

Aquarius purifies water by running it through an arrangement of deionizing tar and sorbents. Deionizing tar and sorbents are the part of filter elements, which are placed in the replacement cartridge. To be treated, distilled water should be poured into supply tank, the mouth of which is situated on the upper plane of the device and is closed with a spiral leakproof lid.

When Aquarius is being run there is excessive pressure created in the supply tank by microprocessor. This excessive pressure makes treated water run through filter elements and then on to the outlet.

Water level sensors are responsible for controlling minimal and maximal levels of water in the supply tank. Installed conductivity sensor controls outlet water quality, water conductivity is displayed on the front of Aquarius.

Maintenance

To perform maintenance it is necessary to occasionally replace replacement cartridge.

Replacement cartridge should be replaced when treated water conductivity is less than it should be according to the specifications after the water has been treated for 3-4 times. One replacement cartridge is capable of treating of about 700 liters of water.

To replace cartridge you should:

To place a new cartridge act in reverse order.

Maintenance

After cartridge is changed Aquarius should be “washed” with distilled water by feeding distilled water to it until water conductivity is satisfactory regarding the specifications.
